Visiting Sainte Valière
Sainte-Valière is situated in the Minervois, in a wine and fruit-growing region behind Narbonne, between the Mediterranean sea and the Black Mountains, an area rich in history and natural beauty. While preserved, the area is easy of access by train or plane. Sainte-Valière borders a stretch of the Canal du Midi where it leaves the road and there is nothing but vines, boats and bicycles, and is a short bike ride away from half a dozen other pretty little towns.
